Teaching Philosophy

I have been teaching for 8 1/2 years, and almost 7 years here at Pioneer Elementary. I love teaching and I hold each student very dear to me. I strongly believe that we’re all life long learners, and I expect to grow and change my ideas on teaching throughout my career. It is the responsibility of the teacher to create a desire to learn in his or her students. If students can relate to the material they are studying, they will learn the information on a deeper level instead of rote memorization. On a final note, children should learn to take responsibility for their actions and learning.
