As in days of old, when the original pioneer families settled in Gilbert, they had a vision of becoming productive citizens in a new territory. Pioneer Elementary is named in honor of these hard-working families who helped build Gilbert into the community it is today. We encourage the pioneer spirit by providing a quality education for all students enabling them to develop into life-long learners to meet the challenges of the new frontier of the twenty-first century.
The home/school connection is a vital part in maintaining a positive attitude toward learning. We have a dedicated PTSO that has been instrumental in supporting our mission and has provided numerous hours of volunteering and raising money to help students succeed.
Pioneer Elementary is proud to be a Character Counts school that encourages students to make positive choices with their lives and grow into productive citizens. We are proud to serve our community in this most important endeavor--being a part of the development of our future citizens.
Our Mission: Pioneer Elementary's mission is to create a partnership between home and school where students can achieve academic success while developing a positive attitude toward life, learning and themselves. We will nurture each student's talents and gifts while promoting academic and behavioral responsibility, goal and priority setting, inquiry, independent and cooperative learning, and global and cultural awareness.
