Dear Quartz Hill Families, We have had a terrific start to the new school year! Thank you for your cooperation with our parent drop-off/pick up rules. It has been going very smoothly with parents dropping off/picking up their children on the south side of the school.
As you may have read in the newspaper there have been discussions regarding the modified school schedule. The schedule has not been determined , however if the schedule is adopted it would effect the start date of next year’s school year. So please keep this in mind when making vacation plans.
There are many field trips planned for the various grade levels this year. 6th Grade has Science Camp coming up in October already. Please check with your child’s teacher to see what their class is planning for field trips. You can help fund these trips with a Tax Credit Donation to the school. These donations are tax deductible and can be as much as $400 for a joint tax return.
We are also very excited about purchasing Smart Boards for each classroom. Thus far we have been able to order a Smart Board for each of our intermediate grades. Any additional Tax Credit funds can be designated towards the purchase of Smart Boards for the entire school. Please put “Technology Club” on your Tax Credit form to use your money for this purpose.
