Dear Grizzly Parents,

Welcome to April!  Hard to believe that we have less than 2months of school remaining.  Hold on toyour seats, these last 7 weeks of school will zoom by!

A friendly reminder, our annual AIMS testingwill be held the week of April 15^th, testing will occur on April 15^th,16^th, 17^th and 18^th.  Please schedule any appointments around thosedates as it is important for all of our students to be here on those days.  The state of Arizona mandates that 95% of ourenrolled students must take the AIMS test. We are having an “AIMS Spirit Week” to come together as a campus toknockout the AIMS test.  The following isthe testing schedule and accompanying spirit day for students and staff:

Monday, April 15^th – 7^thgr writing test, 8^th grade science test, wear WHITE to WHITEOUT AIMS

Tuesday, April16th – Part 1 of reading andmath test for 7^th and 8^th grade, wear GREEN for GREENDAY

Wednesday, April 17^th – Part 2 ofreading and math test for 7^th and 8^th grade, wear BLACKto BLACKOUT AIMS

Thursday, April 18^th – Part 3 ofreading and math test for 7^th and 8^th grade, it isGRIZZLY PRIDE Day, wear any shirt or uniform that represents GrJHS

Friday, April 19^th – AIMS make-upsand AIMS Celebration Day.  7^thand 8^th grade lunches will be extended from 30 minutes to 45minutes, students can have their lunches “picnic style” on the grass and musicwill be played during the lunch periods

Monday, April 22^nd – Last day forAIMS make-ups and reading placement exams for our 7^th gradersstart.  This test determines placementfor their 8^th grade Language Arts class or English class.  This test will be given during their LanguageArts classes.
