Amanecer Preschool
An integrated preschool for children with and without special needs Amanecer Preschool gives typically developing children and children with special needs an opportunity to develop and grow together in the same classroom in a positive, nurturing environment. Each year, tuition students new to Amanecer Preschool are screened according to Child Find guidelines.

TUITION AND FEES
Tuition for 3-day (T, W, TH) is $190.00 each month
A $50.00 NON-REFUNDABLE yearly registration fee per family. First and last months tuition, plus the annual registration fee must be paid to start.
(CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS ONLY - NO CASH PLEASE!)
The last month’s tuition must be paid by July 1, 2011
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: - Applications are available at any elementary campus, the District Office reception desk, or on the GPS website.
- Children MUST turn 3 before June 1, 2011 in order to attend.
- Tuition children are required to be toilet trained and MUST be fluent English role models.
- Typical students attend 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours.
- Tuition students begin school August 10th (3 days/week Tues, Wed, Thurs).
About Amanecer Preschool
Amanecer preschool is a blended program that educates children 3-5 years old with special education needs in classes with typically developing children. Our staff includes early childhood special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related services staff.
Amanecer Preschool strives to offer children an opportunity to develop in an environment planned with their physical, mental, social and emotional needs in mind. Planned creative experiences provide an environment which:
- Encourages self-esteem
- Develops creativity, interest and joy in learning
- Increases receptive/expressive language skills
- Develops self-control and responsibility
- Develops fine and gross motor skills
- Introduces pre-academic skills
- Encourages appropriate interactions with other children and adults
- Teaches problem-solving and decision-making skills
