UPDATE: All summer school courses have been extended to August 31. Any courses not completed by that date will be issued a Withdrawal/Fail grade. Please plan accordingly!

Students,

All summer school courses that were not complete at the end of the scheduled summer school session (July 27) have been automatically extended to August 10. If you need additional time beyond August 10, please fill out a course extension request. We will honor your request but not process the changes until the week of August

(The extension request form can be found in your course announcements)

Our expectation is that all summer school coursework (including finals) will be completed by August 31. Any requests for extensions past August 31 must be due to a documented special circumstance and will need to be approved by the online learning coordinator. Special circumstances include medical issues or significant life event issues. Summer vacations, summer camps, work schedules, etc. do not qualify as special circumstances.

Thank you,
GA Online

The mission of our online school is to provide an alternative anytime/anywhere learning opportunity for all high school students. Online learning is proving to be a compelling environment for a significant segment of our school population. The skills acquired to learn and communicate online are life-long skills that will serve students in high school, college and in the workplace.

Online courses are available to students living in the state of Arizona
1) who are enrolled in a school district,
2) who are home schooled, or
3) who attend a private school.
Online courses are not for everyone, but if you are in grades 9 to 12 and are motivated and willing to work independently, set goals, and manage your own study schedule, online learning is for you. Online learning is designed to provide a challenging and alternative educational option for students to meet state secondary educational requirements for graduation.

Courses Available - Fall 2017

The courses in these lists are currently being offered via Global Academy, for full-time online students and for distance learning students wishing to take courses beyond the normal school day.
