(Gilbert, AZ) – As part of the process to search for a new superintendent, the Gilbert Pubic Schools Governing Board this Tuesday held a special meeting to review and discuss a Draft Search Agreement between the District and the Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA).

ASBA was selected to assist with the search process at the June 9 meeting.

In attendance at this weeks meeting was ASBA’s Executive Search and Senior Policy Consultant, Mr. Steve Highlen, along with Dr. Karen Gasket, a consultant in the area of Education and Human Resources.

Gilbert’s Board discussed and approved the creation of an e-survey to collect community input during the search process. The e-survey will include internal and external stakeholder involvement, as recommended by the ASBA.

During the meeting, Board members and ASBA staff also talked about the components of a document to advertise the position, which will include a job description and salary range, a projected search timeline, as well as information related to District and the community, among other items.
