Heidi Resh began as the Campo Verde TOYBOX Director in 2016, though she has attended Gilbert Public Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. She graduated from Highland High School and then earned her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at Arizona State University. Additionally, she will be completing her master’s in Early Childhood Education, from Arizona State University in May 2019.  As a high school student she took Child Development and was a high school lab student in TOYBOX for 2 years.

Heidi has worked for the Town of Gilbert teaching preschool, dance, tumbling and music and movement classes for all ages. She has taught dance at a few studios around the valley and subbed for Gilbert Public Schools. She worked in TOYBOX as a Paraprofessional Assistant at Campo Verde High School from 2009 to 2013. From 2013 to 2016 Heidi taught at Gilbert Jr High as the Family and Consumer Science teacher.  She also coached dance, cheer and had a sewing club. Heidi has been married since 2005 and has 3 children who all attend Gilbert Public Schools. She has had all 3 of her children go through the TOYBOX program. Heidi enjoys camping, dancing, and spending time with her family.

One of the best parts of her job is observing and working with the high school students as they teach lessons to the preschoolers. Heidi enjoys giving the high school students feedback that will help them grow in their learning. She also enjoys watching the preschoolers learning through play and hands on lessons.
