Welcome to MJH!

I am proud to serve as the Principal of Mesquite Junior High, where our purpose is to serve the students and families of the Gilbert community. I originally hail from the great state of WI (Go Packers!) and began my education career teaching/coaching in Gilbert after my time serving in the United States Marine Corps. I truly enjoy the energy, personalities and growth at this age, while also being continually impressed with the amazing staff members who guide these students each day. At MJH, we believe that every student deserves a chance to thrive in an environment that is supportive of their needs, understanding of the challenges they face, and nurturing to the natural abilities they possess. To build the Mustang community, we encourage our students to take advantage of the wide variety of opportunities to participate in clubs and athletics throughout the year, giving them the opportunity to grow and represent themselves and MJH. In addition, we work to establish positive, collaborative relationship with our parents/guardians, as that truly makes an impact for our kids. MJH embraces and respects the diversity of our school and surrounding community while maintaining high expectations for student achievement.
