  • Parents/Guardians,

I'm sorry for the delay in communicating as I have been out of town for a personal matter. Over the last couple of weeks, all schools have been shut down due to the health concerns that have arisen across the country. The hope was that the original two weeks that were called off by the state would pass and we would return to the classrooms. Since that isn't case anymore, we must move forward.

I have been collaborating with my teachers and staff this past week to determine what will be the best approach for our students and families. Since we run on a nine-week block system and not an 18-week semester, things had to be set up differently from the traditional schools. Please know that our office and counselor have been working diligently to make sure that we take care of all of our students. With having to move our classes online, courses had to be changed, dropped, added and modified. All of this takes time.

We now feel that we are at the point that we are just about ready to get this block started. By Monday, teachers will be sending out emails and making phone calls to get in contact with everyone. Their goal is to ensure that your child is successful. Each teacher will have their information posted on the school website. Please feel free to log in and get anything that you may need.

Also, for those families that do not have a computer or Chromebook at home, we will be checking out Chromebooks next week. On Monday, March 30, from 8:00 am-12:00 pm, we will check out a Chromebook to any student on our campus who may need it in our gym. Just come down to campus with a photo ID to get one.

The remaining weeks of the school year will be one that we will all be on the learning curve. We may make some mistakes, but we will learn from them and correct where it is needed. But through it all, please know that everyone on our campus is here to support you and your children. We want them to be successful. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Together, we will navigate through this difficult time.
