What is RISE?
RISE (Respect, Innovate, Self-Confidence, Engage) is a selection based program, offering students a highly focused learning environment in 7th and 8th grade.
Small class sizes and an integrated curriculum helps students refocus on academics and gain self-confidence to succeed in High School. Students will also receive support from teachers trained in educating the whole child, participate in cross-curricular and community projects.
The goal of RISE is to have students engage in integrated curriculum and social and emotional learning to master the subjects and concepts required to be successful in High School or return to their home Junior High and be successful.
RISE is located at Highland Junior High School. The RISE program is located at the Highland Junior High location but is not part of the Highland Junior High campus. Transportation can be provided if needed. RISE will run on the same calendar as Gilbert Public Schools.
