First Quarter

  • Check Your Schedule

Check that you don't have double periods (two 3rd hours), that you know where your classes are located, and that most importantly you are in the correct classes based on your academic abilities.

Remember to check your schedule through your Infinite Campus Student Account.

Senior Credit Check-In

  • Senior Year is Here: Are you on track to graduate?

You will be meeting with your counselor soon to review your credit check/transcript.  If you took any summer courses or retook classes to improve a grade, make sure that they are posted and your transcript is accurate. If you are applying to a university, you should have advanced math in your schedule and by the end of your senior year, have completed at least two credits of the same world language. If you are not on track for graduation, make an appointment to meet with your counselor ASAP to discuss changing your schedule and/or adding an online course through Global Academy.

Access to Your Student Accounts

  • There are several accounts that you will need to have access to and will be expected to be using on a regular basis.

Here are some helpful links and information about logins:

Student Google Account (via Rapid Identity Login)

You will use a Google/Rapid Identity account to login to any computer you use in high school.

    Infinite Campus

Infinite Campus is where you can check your grades, see assignment calendars and check your credit progress.

    Google Classroom

Google Classroom is the online tool used by Gilbert Public Schools to simplify teaching and learning by connecting all the digital tools teachers use in one easy place. Most of your classes will have a Google Classroom for assignments and activities. Teachers will provide you with a code to sign up for their class at the beginning of the year. Tip: Find all your Google Classrooms at https://www.classroom.google.com.

AZCIS – Arizona Career Information System (ECAP)

Your College Search: Begin with Your Major/Career in Mind

  • Hopefully, you have had a chance to hear from at least a few college/career representatives either through sitting in on formal presentations or visiting a table display during lunch.  When trying to figure out where your studies will take you after high school, start with your end goal in mind. College is not the end goal, it is a path to a career. There are a number of college search engines you can use to help you decipher the best course of study to get you to the career you desire.

Take or Retake the ACT/SAT

  • We recommended that you take either the ACT or SAT to give yourself a chance to improve your scores this fall.  If this is the first time you will be taking them, don't worry, set some time aside to study and prepare before test day.

Register for the ACT Register for the SAT

Please Note - Your high school will not send your ACT/SAT scores for you.  You must login to your account and send your scores directly to each institution that you are applying.

Free/Reduced Lunch Application – for More than Just School Lunches!

  • Free and reduced-price meals are available to families who qualify. If your family chooses to apply, please fill out a Free & Reduced Meal Application.

Did you know that if you qualify for assistance through the National School Lunch Program (NLSP), you may eligible to receive fee waivers for the SAT/ACT exams, some College Applications and fee reductions for AP Exams?

    From the College Board:

"The College Board fee-waiver service assists qualified, economically disadvantaged students who plan to take the: SAT/SAT Subject Tests/PSAT/NMSQT/AP Exams. A student must be either enrolled in or eligible to participate in, the National School Lunch Program (NLSP) in order to receive a fee waiver. Schools participating in new federal programs such as Community Eligibility may not be able to use the NLSP criterion to identify and verify individual student fee-waiver eligibility. However, several other criteria or indicators can still be used to confirm eligibility for fee-waiver benefits."

For more information, please speak with your Counselor.
