  • Online- Do students have to log in at certain days or times?

    Posted by:

Students must remain active throughout the duration of their class. Any student who is inactive for 10 consecutive days will be dropped with no refund. Dropped students may re-enroll at a later session date (for no additional fee) and continue from where they left off.

While students must remain active, there are not designated times at which they need to be logged in. The system does have suggested due dates for when students should turn in assignments if they wish to remain on track. There is no penalty for turning in assignments early or late.

  • Are online courses right for me?

    Posted by:

There are many factors to consider when deciding whether or not to take an online class. Here are some things to think about:

    1. Do you have the necessary resources and infrastructure to succeed in an online class? This includes a reliable internet connection, a computer or device that meets the technical requirements, and a quiet place to study.

    2. Are you self-motivated and able to stay organized and on track with your work? Online classes often require more self-direction and discipline than in-person classes because you don't have the same level of in-person support and structure.

    3. Do you have the time to commit to an online class? Online classes often have the same workload as in-person classes, so you'll need to make sure you have the time to complete all of your assignments and participate in class discussions.

Ultimately, the decision to take an online class is a personal one and depends on your individual circumstances. It's a good idea to carefully weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.

  • How are online classes different from in-person classes?

In online classes, students are responsible for learning and making progress in their course. The teacher's role is to grade assignments and respond to student questions when asked.

  • Can I decide to drop my summer school classes if I learn they are not right for me?

    Posted by:

Yes - we will accept drops with no grade penalty up until June 30. After June 30, a WF grade will be entered for students who did not finish their course and an F will be entered for students who were not able to pass all parts of their final exam, which is a requirement for online classes.
