What mitigation measures will be in place for COVID-19?
As we enter the new school year, please know that we will continue to use mitigation strategies such as:
- Wiping down frequently used surfaces
- Encouraging frequent hand washing
- Students stay home when unwell
We ask that you please keep your student home if they are not feeling well or have any symptoms of illness.
We will be returning to our standard Illness Guidelines when assessing and sending home students who are exhibiting signs of illness while on campus.
We will not be requiring students to test for Covid 19, however we do ask if there are positive household members, that the student be kept home if they exhibit any symptoms.
If you test your student for Covid 19 and they are positive, we will continue to follow the CDC guidelines below:
- Students will need to stay home for five days from the day symptoms started OR the day the test was collected (if the student did not have symptoms). After the fifth day, the student may return to school however they will be required to wear a mask while on campus for the remaining 5 days.
- If the student cannot wear the mask consistently or chooses not to, they will need to stay home for the entire ten day isolation period.
- As always, any student experiencing absence(s) will be supported to make the necessary arrangements to make up work/tests.
