Comment: Please start requiring students to wear masks, to help prevent spread of Covid & other viruses. Currently, students are required to stay home even for congestion or cough, even though it may only be a cold or allergies. Masks will at least slow down the spread of viruses & keep student attendance up. Teacher masks could still be optional to help them teach.

Comment: The dashboard isn’t accurate. Of the ten previous exposure notices I received for my four kids in GPS schools, not a single incident was recorded on the dashboard despite those notices going out after the dashboard should have been updated. Furthermore, it is unbelievable that not more emphasis is put on wearing masks or moving to remote learning for a few weeks until the Covid numbers come down.

Comment: I would prefer for the GPS health notifications to continue to be sent out to those who may have been in contact with another student with Covid. This is extremely important for students who have family members that are immune compromised. The dashboards currently are not reliable, one day there are 0 kids at your school with Covid, the very next there are 25 and the very next its back to only 16. Without the health notifications, this is making it extremely difficult to track.

Comment: It appears that the onus now falls on parents to check whether their child(ren) have been exposed to covid in their classrooms. The High School and Jr. High dashboards have a huge left margin and the 6th and 7th hour classes are cut off on the right side. It does not matter if it is in "mobile" (cuts off at 3rd hour) or "full site" modes. I reported this observation to GPS' "contact us" email and have not received a response. It would be helpful to be able to see the all of the class periods.

Comment: Please do something to help our kids be safe from COVID. It is infuriating to have teachers not wear masks and then go out with Covid. The people are literally infecting our children. and why do we let students not wear masks. We care more about the color of the uniforms than we do about safety. Keeping kids in the classroom should be the most important thing - stop allowing people to not wear masks.

Comment: I would like to ask that you to consider assigning a bus stop for Highland High in El Aldea neighborhood .I don't feel that we are close enough to the school for our children to walk and it is barely day light at 7am with school starting at 7:30, Also there are homeless people who sleep under the canal walls on power road they have been there every morning at the time my child in on her way to school and power/Guadalupe is a very busy road with a small corner for walking. thank you

Comment: I still want answers as to why this Board is trying to get rid of JROTC and why the instructor is not being paid like other instructors who teach other AIA sanctioned programs. Is it because you do not appreciate the military or is it because you discriminate against LGTBQ individuals? Why do you support sports that are terrible but do not support State Champions for drill team?

Comment: My children were removed from settlers point due to sever instances that occurred and no one wanted to take the appropriate action. Teachers and more so the principal did not take any accountability or responsibility for students actions. There were no proper consequences given at the time of the incident. Further more parents weren’t notified until the incident continued to continue which is unheard of. I don’t not feel as if my childrens saftey was important.
