Mandarin Adoption Overview

  • In early 2021, Gilbert Public Schools’ Curriculum Department began the process to adopt new curriculum resources for both Secondary English Language Arts and Mandarin in grades seven through twelve. The Governing Board granted approval to begin a pilot and open a 60-day public review for the following recommendations: Mandarin: Carnegie Learning - Zhen Bang

    Teachers who participated in the pilot notified families directly. In addition, the curriculum resources were available for public review, and all families and community members were invited to participate in providing feedback. 

    Public review displays started February 18th at the following locations: 

    7-12 Mandarin

    1. District Office Building B Lobby
    2. Gilbert High School Front Office
    3. Greenfield Junior High School Front Office
