Public Comment 1
Submitted by: Sean Moreira
Live or Work in the District: Yes
Child(ren) attending a GPS school: Yes
Comment: Why are energy drinks being sold to high school students? These energy drinks are not safe for adolescents 18 years and younger. If my child were to have an emergency related to consuming an energy drink on campus, the school would be liable. It is irresponsible to allow sale of these drinks on campus, at minimum parents should have to sign a permission slip to allow students to purchase these. These drinks are detrimental to the physical and mental health of students and shouldn’t be sold.
