Comment: (Building Blocks Preschool) The lack of any financial leeway when dropping children off is a bit egregious. Parents have to wait until 8 am exactly to avoid any additional charges. This makes it difficult when dropping off other children at Mesquite. Other siblings are getting to school later with less time to prep. Parents are encouraged to get children there early for circle time at 8, but parents can not sign their children in with out incurring a fee early.

Comment: Gilbert Community Ed programs have some of the highest prices for their before/after care. They do not offer a sliding fee scale for single head of household or low income students. Low income families must find alternative before and after care because of the cost already.

Comment: Mesquite High School had two male students becoming homecoming royalty, thus replacing the concept of homecoming King and Queen. While this tradition is fairly insignificant, I do worry about what else GPS is willing to tear down in the name of inclusivity. I worry about what lessons GPS teachers might give my children that might disregard basic facts, like the reality of two sexes. Could you please comment on what you might do to avoid confusing our children in these regards? Thank you.
