Comment: I am writing to ask that the Board not approve the proposed Ashland Ranch Science Camp Field Trip. While I enthusiastically support a field trip, I am concerned about the current proposal for both health and safety reasons. It is misguided to schedule an overnight trip (6 students grouped together in a small cabin) in the middle of cold/flu/covid season -- especially at the tail end of Winter Break, when families have traveled out of town and gathered in large groups. (Continued) Additionally, I am concerned about the travel safety of our students. Organizing a trip that requires 100 students to travel through the mountains in a coach bus on a potentially wet, snowy and/or icy road in Jan is both reckless and in poor judgement. Please reconsider approving this trip and asking that the 6th gr. team reschedule its field trip for Spring, sometime after AASA testing. Thank you.

Comment: I'm concerned about violent outbursts in my sons 3rd grade classroom. The classroom was evacuated 6xs in one day and several children were hit & kicked & none of the parents in the classroom were notified. This has occurred several times. The teacher is not allowed to restrain the child. What is the safety plan for violence in the classroom? Also at what point does the school have to notify the parents when these types of events happen in the classroom? I have emailed the principal & district.
