Comment: Librarians hold an essential role in education. They encourage people to open their minds to explore new ideas, provide tools necessary to develop research skills for future learning, organize events to help kids enjoy learning, and provide a safe place for kids who love to read. My child who has ADHD loves to read, found each school's library- elementary, JR High and High school, her safe place in school, and the librarian encouraged her growth for learning and socialization.

Comment: Mrs. Flaherty, our librarian, is such an important part of our school. She has been at Campo since it was founded, and helps many students everyday. Her work goes on way further than her job description, she is not only our librarian, but a mentor and a friend who makes the library a safe and comfortable space for everyone. I cannot imagine our school or library without her, and strongly urge the school board to reevaluate this decision and the effects it will have on our schools.
