Comment: Why is GPS unwilling to pay support staff a livable wage? Certified staff receive multiple substantial pay increases, while support staff continues to be ignored and given 1% annual raises which amount to pocket change. To claim that support staff are the, "backbone of the district" and expect in many cases for us to do not only our own job, but to take on the responsibilities of additional duties to make up for understaffing, all while getting paid very little is maddening to say the least.
