In 2023, Gilbert Public Schools was named Best School District in Gilbert and the East Valley (East Valley Tribune) for the 6th year in a row. As a district, we continue to exceed state and national averages in standardized test scores and surpass the state’s graduation rate with 92% of students graduating last year. We are proud to have 15 A+ Schools of Excellence, 22 ‘A’ rated schools, and two National Blue Ribbon amongst our 39 schools, located in the Town of Gilbert and the City of Mesa.

  • Applications must be submitted online through the Applitrack website. 
  • When a fully completed application and supporting documentation is received, applications are reviewed, screened and applicants are selected for interviews by the campus
  • All applications are reviewed and it is not necessary for applicants to contact us to review their application. 
  • Panel interviews are scheduled as appropriate. 
  • Interviewed candidates are notified of the interview outcome upon position selection by the campus

Special Education Teachers

At Gilbert Public Schools, we are proud to serve students and families with a wide range of special education programs from preschool to 12th Grade. When you become a Gilbert Public Schools Special Education Teacher you join a family, with a long history of delivering high-quality educational experiences for all students.

Our primary goal is to accelerate student learning, closing the achievement gap between students in special education and their nondisabled peers and/or providing the services, tools, and supports necessary for students to be successful both in school and community settings.

Support Staff Employment

Support Staff Recommendation Procedures

The Office of Talent Management (OTM) will contact you to offer the position and to verify the salary/hourly wage.

If the position is accepted, OTM will schedule a time for you to complete the fingerprinting process. The cost of that process is automatically deducted from the employee’s first paycheck.

  • Fingerprints must be cleared prior to beginning employment. Please expect the fingerprinting clearance to take from seven (7) to ten (10) business days after you have been printed.
  • All recommended applicants are considered conditional employees until the fingerprint check is finalized.
  • Employees may not start work before being notified by Human Resources.
  • You must show proof of immunization to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella before starting work.

All placements and university requests are coordinated through the Office of Talent Management.
