3 GPS Students Named Semifinalist in Flinn Scholarship
The Flinn Foundation has selected 78 Arizona students as Flinn Scholarship Semifinalists to advance in the process to earn the state’s most competitive merit-based college scholarship. Valued at more than $135,000, the Flinn Scholarship provides a full ride covering tuition, housing, meals, and at least two study abroad experiences in partnership with Arizona’s public universities:" Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona.
The 2025 Semifinalists were selected based on their academic achievement, leadership and service, and personal characteristics from more than 1,100 applications submitted in October 2024. The Semifinalists not named Flinn Scholars will receive a $15,000 per year scholarship if they choose to attend one of the state’s three public universities.
Three GPS students we named Semifinalists, including:
- Evelyn Frost, Campo Verde High School
- Aidan Feirstein, Gilbert Classical Academy
- Rati Tabatadze, Gilbert Classical Academy
The Semifinalists will participate in virtual interviews on January 22 and 23. About half of the students will advance as Flinn Scholarship Finalists and interview in-person at the Flinn Foundation in March before the program’s five-person Selection Committee selected the 20 winners in late April.
