SVJH’s Andres Vidales Becomes Arizona Junior High Bull Riding Champion
Congratulations to South Valley Junior High’s Andres Vidales for being honored with a Superintendent Recognition at the May 2025 GPS Board meeting.
SVJH 7th grader Andres Vidales was honored for competing in the Arizona High School Rodeo Association in bull riding. Andres is required to maintain a 70% or better in all classes to be able to compete, and averaged a 3.5 GPA or better this school year. The season consists of 2 rides a month during August - May and when Andres competed in State Finals he achieved the title of Arizona Junior High Bull Riding Champion.

Andres will continue riding in competitions in Iowa for the chance to become National Junior High Bull Riding Champion.
