Club | Description |

Chess Club | This is a club designed to foster an interest in the game of chess for beginners, increase the skills of current chess players, and practice skills at tournaments and leagues throughout the year. |
Code Club | Meets every Thursday in the Library. Students use the Prenda program to learn coding skills such as how to code a game, how to remix a game, how to develop an app and how to write Java Script for websites. |
History Travel Club | The History Travel Club is designed to prepare students who will be participating in the May 2019 Washington D.C. trip. Activities leading up to the trip include trivia games, team building activities, and a service project. |
Hurricane Heroes | Hurricane Heroes is a club that fosters friendships between students with and without disabilities. This club will have monthly meetings to play games, share lunch and other activities and events. |
National Junior Honor Society | NJHS is a student organization that is service oriented. Membership is based on Grade Point Average and recommendations. The organization will complete various service-oriented activities throughout the year. For application information select NJHS Application. Student Ambassadors | Student Ambassadors is a leadership opportunity for students who are dedicated to serving and representing HJHS. Ambassadors are asked to provide new students an introduction to HJHS by giving them a tour of the school, eating lunch with new students, introducing them to faculty and peers and sharing information about activities on campus. |
Student Council | The purpose of this club is to organize student activities, fundraisers, and dances. |
Tech Club | Tech Club - Student-led projects in both the Tech Lab and Shop are designed and built by club members. Creativity is key. 3D Printing, woodworking, etc. are all possibilities! |
