Activism Ms. Nicolson Meetings are held every Monday at 2:45-3:45 in room B113. To show students their role in their community and how they can be an advocate for change and show the youth the power of having a voice.
AEGIS Club Mr. Wheeler Lecture Hall 1. Engage in educational discussion and collaboration to better academic performance for students 2. Develop a comprehensive understanding of college and higher education. 3. Train and prepare students for national and international academic extracurricular competitions. 4. Maintain teams to attend local, regional, national, and international competitions. a. This club will compete in Quizbowl, Science Bowl, Academic Decathlon, Science Olympiad, Math League and more. Best Buddies Mr. Waechter G109 To establish opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. At MHS we match students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities in a mutually enriching one-to-one friendship. Every Wednesday during the 4th and 5th lunch periods, in room G109.
MHS DECA Ms. Forcey B212 Assist members in the growth and development of DECA. Develop a respect for education in marketing and management, business administration and/or hospitality management that will contribute to occupational competence. Promote understanding and appreciation for the responsibilities of citizenship in our free enterprise system. Every Monday at 2:35 pm in room B212
Ecology Club Mr. Ekiss G218 Members of the Ecology Club organize and facilitate the recycling program at MHS; they will also learn how to conserve the environment and encourage everyone else to do their part in protecting the planet they inhabit. Every Thursday at 2:35 pm in room G218.
Equality Club Dr. Drazinski A204 To provide educational information pertaining to gender identity and sexual/romantic orientation. To provide emotional and moral support to peers. To provide a safe place for LGBTQ+ kids and allies Every Thursday from 2:40 to 4:00 pm in room A204.
eSports Mr. Dover A207 Members engaged in the eSport Club have the opportunity to play together, developing strategic problem solving skills and making life long friendships. Every Friday from 2:30 to 3:30 pm in room A207
European Club Ms. C. Luna G230 To promote an understanding of European cultures and the French, German and Spanish speaking worlds through participation and scholastic activities, which will unite MHS students in social and educational understanding. First Monday of every month at 2:30 in room G230.
Drama Club Ms. Biederman F110 To have the opportunity for student input and to provide a means to accomplish much needed services and organization for the theatre members Every Wednesday at 1:30 pm in room F110.
Japanese Club Ms. Wagener G210 To increase Japanese cultural awareness and to support diversity on our campus. Members will participate in activities which will enhance understanding of Japanese culture. Every Tuesday from 2:30-3:30 pm in room G210.
K-Club: Korean Pop Music Ms. Nicolson B114 To unite MHS students who have generated a connection to the current pop phenomenon of Korean Pop Music. Members will be able to showcase their talent in this genre and share their love generating life-long friendships. Every Monday at 2:40-3:30 pm in room B114
Link Crew Ms. Buturla and Ms. Weaver Every other Monday at 2:30 in the Library. Link Leaders strive to support incoming 9th grade student by providing mentorship throughout the school year. It is our goal to make every Freshman feel valued and welcome at school: every person, every day.
Maker Club Mr. Jordan G116 To make explore the making of electronics and woodworking. Every Tuesday at 2:30 to 4:30 pm in room G116.
Math & Science Club Mr. Wyman G217 To increase awareness of Math and Science and to prepare students for competitions involving math and science concepts. Every Monday at 2:30 pm. Science concepts will be held in A207 and math concepts will be held in G217
MHS Photo Club Mr. Smith B109 To further the use and knowledge base of photography at MHS, while providing a forum for people with like interests to associate. Wednesdays at 2:35 pm as needed in room B109
Something Better: (Drug/Alcohol Prevention) Ms. Luna G220 The Something Better Club is designed through a High school Health and Wellness grant from the Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family. The club will focus on the need for after-school prevention programs for youth in order to decrease drug, alcohol and opioid use and abuse. First Wednesdays of the month at 1:40 pm in room G220.
Speech and Debate B112 Competing on Speech and Debate Team will help students develop a sense of poise and confidence when speaking in front of an audience. Speech and Debate events improve a student’s skills in research, analysis, critical reading, thinking and writing, organization, analysis and interpretation of literature.
