This is Dr. Joan Henry’s 4th year at Quartz Hill Elementary where Trailblazers use Imagination, Innovation, and Inspiration to blaze a trail of excellence to their futures…Quartz Hill is a project-based learning school with a S.T.E.A.M. focus that includes Gifted programs, full-day Kindergarten, an accelerated learning kinder program, full day Building Blocks preschool (4 yrs. old) and an Amanecer preschool. Trailblazers participate in community and school spirit events and assemblies.  Quartz has strong educational and service learning partnerships such as South Valley Junior High School, Camp Verde High School, ASU Poly Engineering Program and local businesses. Students enjoy and are challenged with specials including: music, band & strings (5-6), art, physical education, and library/STEM. The Robo Blazers are the school’s robotics team and other clubs include: K-6 S.T.E.A.M., Spanish, Sign Language,  Running, Culinary, Sunshine (Service Learning), and Singcronicity/Ball Room (Show Choir for 5-6). Quartz Hill is a character building, inclusive community built on respect, teamwork, and positive attitudes!
