As we plan for the 2020–2021 school year we understand that parents and families have many questions about returning to school. We have established a Gilbert Public Schools Task Force to prepare recommendations that will support the education, wellbeing, and health of our students, staff, and families. We also, continue to liaise with official agencies and the state to ensure that we continue to support the health and safety of our community. We will be communicating regularly with parents as we plan for the new school year. At this time, our goal is to get our students and staff back into our classrooms. We are also planning for other scenarios. No matter what the circumstances we will be fully prepared to educate all GPS students Pre-K–12th grade on August 5, 2020. Any questions regarding enrollment please don't hesitate to reach out directly to our schools.

About Neely Traditional Academy
GPS was an early adopter of Traditional education with Neely Traditional Academy, established in 1999. The traditional model offers students access to rigorous education experience, with high expectations for all students in academic achievement, music and art performance, physical education, and technology, with a focus on character development.
Students in these programs will engage in the traditional instructional model in Reading and Math. The Spalding method teaches comprehensive, spelling, writing and reading with phonics. Math instruction utilizes Saxon Math which is a program that develops a deep mastery of math skills and concepts through instruction that builds on prior knowledge through an incremental, distribution, and cumulative approach.
