Dear Gilbert Public Schools Parents and Families,

I hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing and fun winter break. The second semester is off to a great start, and I encourage you to keep connected with our schools. Our Governing Board met for the first time in 2026 with a Special Organizational Meeting and Brief Board Business Meeting. I would like to thank all Board members for their commitment and dedication to our school district, our students, families, and our staff. At the meeting, Mr. Chad Thompson was voted in as the Governing Board President for a second year, and Mrs. Shana Murray was voted in as the Governing Board Clerk for this year.

This month, our 6th-grade students will have the opportunity to visit their junior high campus in preparation for next school year!  It is an exciting time for our students as they tour our junior high campuses and learn about the academic and extracurricular opportunities open to them in junior high and beyond. If your student is moving on to junior high or high school next year and you would like to learn more about any of our schools and the programs offered, please don’t hesitate to reach out and schedule a school tour or attend any of the upcoming Family Preview Nights.
