Security Cameras

Gilbert Public Schools has security cameras and appropriate signage on all campuses including district offices as an additional measure to protect our students and staff.

Our security cameras are used to deter criminal activity, discourage negative behavior in the school, have live knowledge of who is on the campus, review archived footage, and give parents and students added peace of mind.

A public records request for archived footage must be submitted within 30 days of the incident. You will be asked for the bookmark name of the archived footage. The school campus bookmarks and names the archived footage - please contact the school campus to get the bookmark name.

During active emergencies, GPS can share live video feeds with both the Gilbert and Mesa Police Departments. Sharing this live feed affords the respective police department the ability to respond more effectively when needed.
