In-Person Junior High School Summer School General Information
In-Person Junior High Summer School offers courses for current 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. English and Math Prep Courses are 2-week intervention courses that reinforce essential skills and concepts that students will need to be successful in upcoming course(s). They can be taken by students who failed a course during the school year or students who need additional support prior to starting next year’s course(s). Bridge to Honors Math Program is a 4-week course designed to prepare students planning to take Honors Pre-Algebra or Honors Algebra 1.
Dates and Times:
Prep Course Session 1: June 1-11, 2026, Monday through Thursday, 7:30-11:30am
Prep Course Session 2: June 15-25, 2026, Monday through Thursday, 7:30-11:30am
Math Bridge: June 1-25, 2026, Monday through Thursday, 7:30am-11:30am

Tuition:
Prep Courses are $200 per session. (Each session is 2 weeks long.)
Bridge to Honors Math is $400. (The program is 4 weeks long.)
Please note:
Tuition is automatically reduced to $100 per Prep Course session/$200 for Bridge to Honors Math for students who qualified for free and reduced lunch in the 2025-2026 school year.
Payment plans are available for families to request prior to April 17, 2026.**

What is the first step for students to enroll in In-Person Junior High Summer School?
For placement in the Prep Courses or Bridge to Honors Math program, students will automatically receive an invitation to attend based on teacher recommendation, counselor recommendation, and/or district assessment data for the course(s) that are most appropriate for the student’s skill level. For students who are not automatically invited please contact the Summer School Office for additional information.
For students electing to take Total Fitness or Survival Strategies for Success for first-time high school credit, the first step is for students to meet with the counselor at their home-school who will submit a course recommendation into the system
Beginning Monday, March 16, 2026, families will receive an email notification from “GPS No Reply” of the course recommendation(s) for their student, which will include essential planning information and directions to complete enrollment.
Is Transportation available for students to get to/from Summer School?
Yes, district transportation services will be offered to/from the following locations for a fee of $75 per student, per session: all comprehensive high school school campuses, South Valley Junior High, Greenfield Junior High, Harris Elementary, Meridian Elementary, Mesquite Junior High, and Pioneer Elementary. Families will receive more information, including the link to sign up for Transportation, upon completion of enrollment.
Can students attending a school outside of Gilbert Public Schools participate in In-Person Secondary Summer School?
Yes! Please submit this Out of District Summer School Enrollment Request Form and we will contact you based on space available.

In-Person High School
In-Person High School Summer School General Information
In-Person Secondary Summer School offers courses for current 8th through 12th grade students. Courses offered through this program are primarily for grade replacement and are required because a student failed the course in a previous semester and needs to pass it to fulfill a graduation requirement. In addition to grade replacement, social studies and elective courses can be taken proactively for first-time credit to create space for other courses during the regular school year.

Spend Your Summer with GPS Global Academy!
2026 Online registration opens for Online Summer School on March 23rd, 2026
GPS Global Academy is pleased to offer online classes to any 7th-12th grade student in the State of Arizona. Students may take Honors, on-level, and credit recovery core classes as well as a variety of elective offerings.
Classes are offered year-round, including the summer.
2026 Summer School Course Information (Enrollment Dates):
- All courses, except Spanish I A/B and Spanish II A/B,are scheduled between May 28th, 2026 - July 10th, 2026.
- Spanish I A/B and Spanish II A/B courses are scheduled between May 28th, 2026- August 21st, 2026.

Is your student planning to take two semesters of a single class over the summer?
- Math and Spanish courses must be taken consecutively, all others taken can be taken concurrently.
- Final exams must be taken by final day of summer session (Please note: there are no course extensions for summer sessions)
GPS Global Academy Attendance Requirements
Students must remain active throughout the duration of their class. Any student who is inactive for 10 consecutive days will be dropped with no refund.

Students may only work on their classes within the United States. Our systems are not accessible outside the country.
