Engaging curriculum designed specifically for children to learn practical skills to prepare them for K-12 and beyond.

Ages: 4 & 5

Student must turn 4 by August 31st at the beginning of school year attending.

Locations: 7 Locations within Elementary schools across the district

Conventional and Traditional

Full Day: Monday-Friday, 8:15 am-3:15 pm | 11:15 am dismissal EVERY Wednesday (not available at Ashland Ranch)

Partial Day:
AM 5 Days: 8:15 am – 11:15 am
PM 4 Days: 12:15 pm - 3:15 pm

Advanced/Gifted (PM at Ashland Ranch)

Partial Day:
PM 4 Days: 12:15 pm - 3:15 pm

S.T.E.A.M (Quartz Hill location)

Full Day: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-3:00 pm | 2:00 pm dismissal EVERY Wednesday

Partial Day:
AM 5 Days: 8:00 am – 11:00 am
PM 5 Days: 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm  | 2:00 pm dismissal EVERY Wednesday

Kindergarten Prep transforms learning into a walk of discovery, offering safe and exciting opportunities for experimentation, challenge, and fun at every turn! This program is designed to give your child a jump-start on becoming a prepared and eager student ready for the rigors of Kindergarten and being a valued member of Gilbert Public Schools! The Kindergarten Prep curriculum focuses on literacy and academic content in an intentionally developed preschool environment. Fundations, which provide a strong foundation for reading and writing, are introduced and focused on daily.

All programs are aligned with the Arizona Department of Education Early Learning Standards, and are supplemented with:

  • Handwriting Without Tears
  • STEM Activities
  • Unplugged Coding

Conventional Kindergarten Prep - Ashland Ranch-AM; Highland Park, Val Vista Lakes & Superstition Springs Elementary

The Kindergarten Prep curriculum focuses on literacy and academic content in an intentionally developed preschool environment. It is aligned with the Arizona Department of Education Early Learning Standards, and is supplemented with: Fundations, LETRs EC, Handwriting Without Tears, We Thinkers! Social-Emotional curriculum, STEAM and Unplugged Coding activities.
