• Gilbert Public Schools Title IV Information

    Title IV, Part A - Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grant, is to provide students with activities that support well-rounded education, safe and healthy students and technology.  Gilbert Public Schools currently utilizes Title IV funds to support programs such as Advanced Placement, Suicide Prevention and Coding.

What is RISE?

  • RISE Gilbert Public Schools logo RISE (Respect, Innovate, Self-Confidence, Engage) is a selection based program, offering students a highly focused learning environment in 7th and 8th grade.

    Small class sizes and an integrated curriculum helps students refocus on academics and gain self-confidence to succeed in High School. Students will also receive support from teachers trained in educating the whole child, participate in cross-curricular and community projects.

    The goal of RISE is to have students engage in integrated curriculum and social and emotional learning to master the subjects and concepts required to be successful in High School or return to their home Junior High and be successful.

    The RISE program is located at 55 N. Greenfield Road, Gilbert, AZ 85234. Transportation can be provided if needed. RISE will run on the same calendar as Gilbert Public Schools.

About Common Sense© Education Curriculum

  • Common Sense Media Logo Common Sense Media© is the nation’s leading independent non-profit organization dedicated to empowering kids to thrive in a world of media and technology.

    Since the 2015–16 school year, Gilbert Public Schools has been providing digital citizenship curriculum to our schools, grades K–12, via the Common Sense Media platform. Common Sense Media curriculum and lessons have since been updated to take on timely topics that students are experiencing in the online environment and accommodate online delivery via GSuite and Google Classroom. This integration will allow our teachers to have the option of using different methods of delivery from traditional handouts to online access.

    During the 2019–20 school year Technology Services partnered with the GPS Student Support and Prevention team to provide additional support, training, and leadership. Counselors, Social Workers, and Technology Integration Educators are a part of providing digital citizenship assistance to GPS Classroom Teachers, Librarians, and Campus Administrators K–12.
