Gilbert Education Foundation Power of One 2018

Gilbert Education Foundation Executive Director Theresa Dootson handed out "big check" awards to the top three schools that ran separate fundraising campaigns to collect donations for GEF’s annual Power of One Campaign.

The funds raised go directly back to the students and the classrooms in the form of teacher innovation grants, scholarships, and STEM education. In addition, GEF provided emergency assistance for GPS students, families and employees of the district.

The three schools that had the largest total donations received a grant to be used for technology, and classroom enrichment at their school including Highland High School (raised $4,551), Greenfield Elementary  (raised $3,721), and Settler's Point Elementarh(raised $2,786). 

Overall, GEF’s campaign raised $35,891, surpassing its goal of $35,217.

Since their founding in 2001, GEF has contributed over $1.3M in technology equipment supplies, programs, scholarships, and social services thanks to generous donors and corporate sponsors.
