As staff and students return to class following the summer break, they will notice a newly designed website launched for Gilbert Public Schools and each of our schools. The new site(s) feature a modern, efficient design that showcases our incredible campuses and students while providing easy access to the information our students and parents need.
The new site(s) was launched over the summer and we continue to add content.
We are committed to continuous improvement and look forward to hearing feedback from our parents, students and staff.
The redesign process began more than a year ago following staff, student and community feedback. Following the selection of Blackboard Communications as our website and mass notification system partner, a committee of key stakeholders was established to guide the design and implementation process.
Over the course of six months, district Communication and Technology staff worked closely with the vendor to develop a design that represents the district's brand and meets the needs identified.
The innovation does not stop with the creation of new websites. As we all adjust to something new, we are keen to receive your feedback. Over the next school year, our district Communication and Technology staff will continue to work with Blackboard Communications to refine the website and mass notification tools. We also plan to launch a new mobile app. Ongoing updates over the summer and beyond will be communicated through our district website and social media.
