2018 National Blue Ribbon School | 2020 A+ School of Excellence™ Winner
Our Spring seasons are winding down. Our Girl’s and Boy’s Tennis teams lost close matches during the first round of the state team tournament.
Congratulations go to all our Division 3 Individual State Tennis Players:
Uday Brathwaite, Sophomore, sailed through to the semi-finals of the Individual State Tournament on Saturday. Uday was seeded #5 and lost to the #1 seed from Phoenix Country Day.
Avinash Subramanian, Senior, seeded #7 lost in the quarter-finals to the #2 seed from Desert Chrisitan.
Katerina Stender, Senior. won her first-round but met her match in the second round losing to the # 6 seeded player.
Girls Double Team: Leah Kabilan and Tara Patel got a hard draw in the first round and were defeated by the #1 seeded doubles team.
Boys Doubles Team: Geoffrey Xue and Kian St. Louis were defeated in the first round by the doubles team from Safford.
Tennis Player - Uday Brathwaite - earned 2nd team All-State recognition for his accomplishments this year.
2A Valley Region Baseball
1st Team- Noah Scilley pitcher and Sam Oneal- Position Player
2nd Team Recognition- Chase Guymon, Krystian Gary Stone Guymon, and Lucas Hesson as position players.

Track & Field -
The State Track and Field Meet
Hyrum Sawyer - 300 m hurdles State Champion
Sophia Byrd - 100 m hurdles 3rd place, 300 m hurdles 6th place
Ayla Young - 1600 m 5th place - beat her personal record by 14 seconds. 3200 m - 7th place and school record
Tess Bloxam - High jump 9th place
4 X 800 m - 8th place and a new school record.
Cayden Perry set a new school record in the 200m (and girls 4 x 800 also set a new school record. Cayden also competed in the 4 x 100 and long jump at state, so she was a triple qualifier!)
