Gilbert Public Schools seniors and their families looking for support with the FAFSA can attend one of the district's five events. No registration is required. Students and families can choose the location, date and time that works best for their schedule! The first event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Highland High School. FAFSA events will also be held at Gilbert High, Campo Verde High, Mesquite High and Desert Ridge High.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, commonly known as the FAFSA, is an application students fill out to be considered for federal financial aid. The FAFSA provides more than $120 billion in grants, loans and work-study funds every year to help pay for college or career school. The 2023/24 FAFSA form is available now. It is recommended that the FAFSA form be submitted by the earliest financial aid deadline of the schools to which you are applying. This deadline is typically in early February.
The FAFSA is designed to be simple to fill out. Tips throughout the application help you understand the questions. Most people finish filling out the FAFSA in less than a half hour. Before attending one of the district's FAFSA events, gather all of the required items including taxes and deadline information.
