Important Update for Families - January 5, 2021 | Read More

January 5, 2021

Dear Gilbert Public Schools Parents/Guardians,

As previously communicated the Governing Board approved the following at the January 4 meeting:

  • K-12 students will return to school in a hybrid delivery model Tuesday, January 5, 2021, as planned, until January 29, or earlier when vaccines are made available to educators.

At this time we would like to remind you that this week the hybrid learning schedule will go ahead as already planned:

Alternative Schools and Programs

Canyon Valley High School and RISE Junior High students will attend five days a week, using their regular in-person schedule.

Nutrition Services

Curbside meals will continue to be offered at Gilbert Public Schools elementary school locations only during hybrid.  The student does not need to be present.  Families may pick up one free breakfast and one free lunch per child, Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 9:00 am, on the days they are not attending in-person school.  Children at school sites will be offered free breakfast and lunch according to their normal meal times.  The USDA has extended free meals to all children 18 years and younger throughout this school year.

Please expect further communication from your student’s school and teacher(s).  You can also visit www.gilbertschools.net/families for the most up to date information and reach out directly to your school with specific questions.  Thank you for your continued support.
