The Governing Board met for a scheduled ‘Work-Study and Brief Board Business Meeting’ on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

The ‘Work-Study’ was called to order at 6:00 pm.

The ‘Work-Study’ began with a presentation on the ‘Aggregate Expenditure Limit and Gilbert Public Schools’, presented by Superintendent Dr. Shane McCord and Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, Ms. Bonnie J. Betz.

A presentation of the ‘FY 2022 Revised Budget #2’ followed, presented by Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, Ms. Bonnie J. Betz, and Director of Finance, Ms. Jackie Mattinen.

This was followed by ‘ELA and Mandarin Adoption’, presented by Director of Secondary Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, Dr. Krista Cox, and Secondary ELA Coordinator, Ms. Jenna Quarelli-Buck, and World Languages Coordinator, Ms. Sue Fry.

The ‘Work-Study’ was adjourned at 7:14 pm.

The ‘Brief Board Business Meeting’ was called to order at 7:15 pm.

The meeting began with a Proclamation for School Counselors Week, February 7-11, 2022.   The Superintendent and Board members thanked all GPS school counselors for everything they do to support students.
