Governing Board Brief - April 26, 2022
The Governing Board met for a scheduled regular board business meeting on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm.
The meeting began with Superintendent Recognitions:
Oratorical Contest Winners - K-2 - Brigham Jeppesen -Boulder Creek - Dr. Seuss ; 3rd-6th - Oliver Campos - Spectrum - George Washington ; 7th-8th - Oceana Anders - Greenfield Junior High - American Photographer - Margaret Bourke-White
Augusta Ranch Principals Academy - Students in 5th and 6th grade at Augusta Ranch Elementary with a mission to help and serve others in their community.
2022 Best Communities for Music Education Award - The NAMM Foundation has recognized our Gilbert Public Schools community for the outstanding efforts of teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who are making music part of a well-rounded education for every child in their communities.

Congratulations to Gilbert High JROTC Drill Team for their many achievements at the recent National Drill Meet. They will be invited to next month’s Superintendent Recognitions.
US News and World Report just came out recognizing the top high schools in the state and the nation. Congratulations to all of our high schools, and a special congratulation to Gilbert Classical Academy for being ranked 86 in the top 100 High Schools in the U.S.
