Culinary Arts I

This course will provide instruction in meal preparation, basic nutrition and healthy food selection. Healthy cooking principles, safety and sanitation, proper use of equipment, and basic workplace skills will also be covered. This course additionally will incorporate advanced cooking and baking techniques, i.e., pastries, yeast breads, beef, fish, poultry, cheese, and basic decorating techniques.
