Fee: $35.00 per semester
This course will allow students to put their artistic skills to use through meal and menu planning, regional foods, foreign foods, knife skills, garnishing, plating, fine dining, and customer relations. There will be a focus on employability in the food industry, career exploration and opportunities to cater events in the school/community. Students will need to obtain their Food Service Worker card, either through class or on their own, for an additional cost of $15 or the current price. Participation in a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) is recommended.
