This course introduces students to the essentials of grilling and outdoor cooking. Topics covered will include safety, techniques, flavor development, equipment usage, and various cooking methods. There will be a focus on employability in the food industry, career exploration and opportunities to cater events in the school/community. Students will need to obtain their Food Service Worker card, either through class or on their own, for an additional cost of $15 or the current price. Participation in a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) is recommended.
