This course will cover cooking techniques and preparation methods for cakes, pies, and simple desserts as well as production of doughs and breads. Also included are the preparation of various bakery sauces and toppings, uses of chocolate and appropriate presentation methods for various types of desserts. Participation in a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) is recommended.
