This course will prepare students to understand the developing child. Topics covered will include prenatal development, the development of newborns, infants, and toddlers, as well as theories in child development, and the overall health and safety of children. Students also gain preparation for interacting with children and explore careers related to early childhood education. Students will have an opportunity to observe and interact with preschool age children.
