This course will combine mechanical, electronics engineering, and computer software engineering utilizing robotics. Students will learn robotics by using critical thinking processes involving design, functional use, and maintenance. They will also learn about robotics in industry, team dynamics, design processes, trade tools, and maintaining an Engineer’s Notebook. This course is mostly project-based and will require a significant amount of work outside of the regular class period. The focus of the course will be the design, fabrication, assembly, and programming of a competition robot.
