This course will prepare students for employment in a wide range of marketing careers and will apply concepts of the free enterprise system. The principles of marketing economics, marketing math, communications, selling, advertising, promotion, and human relations will be emphasized. Students will apply marketing concepts using word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, database, integration, and computer systems. The course also addresses economic principles and concepts, including a focus on personal finance, economic reasoning, market systems, and the domestic and global economies. Participation in Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) is recommended.
