This course will explore the American economic system through an examination of the components and operation of the stock market. The major concepts of macro and microeconomics will be taught, and some attention will also be given to current economic trends and events. Topics will include supply and demand, profit and loss, capital, business cycles, productivity, circular flow, market economy, saving, unemployment and the Federal Reserve Bank.
