This course will conduct an in-depth analysis and interpretation of the behavior and nature of functions including polynomial, absolute value, rational, radical, exponential, logarithmic, logistic, power, trigonometric, and piecewise functions with an emphasis on modeling and solving real world problems. In addition, it will include a study of circular functions, the unit circle, triangle measurements, trigonometric identities and vectors. These concepts will be developed through mathematical practices for AP Precalculus: (1) Procedural and symbolic fluency; (2) Multiple representations; (3) Communication and reasoning. This course is designed to prepare students to successfully complete the Advanced Placement Exam in May.
