Environmental systems and societies (ESS) is an interdisciplinary course that enables students to acquire the knowledge and understandings of environmental systems and issues at a variety of scales. Students will be able to apply their knowledge and skills needed to analyze environmental systems and issues, such as pollution and resource use, while appreciating the value of personal, local and global perspectives. Students will be able to make informed decisions and take responsible actions on environmental issues to create innovative solutions to environmental issues. This course is designed to prepare students to successfully complete the IB Exam.
